Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
