Cars in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities reported they were notified by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Police say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they reported.

Law enforcement then located many other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials state initial examinations indicate the fluid was likely human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its source; investigators are currently not informed of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials announced they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the community for information.

An important political figure commented the incident left him without words and had to be addressed promptly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on individuals of migrant background in 2020.
