'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
